Amidst Pandemic Stress, District Taco Gives Back To Local School

District Taco donated $1,000 worth of burritos to families of Barrett Elementary School to ensure students’ needs are fulfilled while schools are closed for in-classroom instruction.

As a member of one of the industries hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic, District Taco has stayed true to their commitment to support the community. District Taco has historically supported local organizations with thousands of dollars of donations, both in food and monetary contributions.

Ultramarathoner Mike Wardian, who recently ran a 62-mile run to all 12 DMV-area District Taco locations, asked District Taco to donate the proceeds of the run to Barrett students and families in need. District Taco employees made and delivered 200 burritos to over 100 Barrett families.

“District Taco is committed to seeing our community continue to flourish,” says Osiris Hoil, District Taco CEO and Co-Founder. “We know customers have stuck with us through these tough times, and we want to show how much we appreciate their support, now and always.”
